As a researcher. I have researched, prepared and delivered a series of illustrated talks on aspects of local and regional history of the Humberside area (being equally ‘at home’ on north and south banks). Have given these illustrated talks to a range of civic, local history and interest societies across the region. |
As a tutor. I have considerable experience in tutoring series of evening classes for both W.E.A. and local authorities on topics such as; church studies, village histories and housing studies. Also tutoring classes which led to parish publications – managed co-operative research rather than didactic presentation. |
As a guide & speaker. I have experience of leading guided walks and tours in Humberside area, I am able to speak confidently and clearly and convey local detail in the relevant regional and national context. |
As a writer. I have written and revised leaflets/ publications to guide and inform visitors, particularly in N. Lincs. region. |
